Our client is a well-known family company providing food, ingredients, agricultural solutions, and industrial products that are vital for living. We are currently recruiting for a maintenance technician who will be carrying out multi-skilled maintenance tasks across the site including a range of preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance as required. This is a full-time position based in.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis.
2. Maintenance fitter work in providing to meet day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
3. Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance workflow methods and techniques.
4. Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency.
5. Employ predictive maintenance techniques to achieve benchmark plant reliability.
6. Follow safe systems in work environment of a safe system of work, PPE permits, risk assessment, etc.
7. Be a leader in continuous improvement initiatives in predictive maintenance techniques such as thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis as well as experience, skill, and judgement to make regular assessments of the plant condition.
8. Become a key member in company initiatives such as implementation of maintenance management systems to log faults and report potential problem areas, extract fault information, generate work orders, and log completed work.
9. Coordination of contractors and other technicians on site.
10. Planning & scheduling of maintenance area collaborating with production, supply chain, and quality (& EHS).
11. Asset management. Project coordination in End of Shelf-Life Assets and additional modification. Site improvement assets.
Requirements:
1. Experience of working in maintenance with a bias to mechanical engineering.
2. Diagnostic troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
3. Good knowledge of maintenance processes and activities gained within a plant environment.
4. Understanding of predictive maintenance techniques, vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound is an advantage, but training will be provided.
5. Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture.
6. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
7. To be familiar with key aspects that may have an effect on production.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday Shift Rotation: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm. Saturday OT available.
Package on Offer:
€46,000 per annum + 20% shift premium. Pension contribution.
