Overall Purpose of the Job
Carry out repairs to plant equipment and machinery as part of the overall maintenance team. Carry out specific planned maintenance as directed and assist multi discipline team with equipment repairs. Fabricate repair items as required to facilitate repairs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
o Carry out preventative, and predictive maintenance of assigned equipment.
o Carry out fabrication repairs for plant and machinery.
o Troubleshoot issues on your assigned equipment.
o Maintain a high standard to Health & Safety compliance.
o Complete all required documentation accurately.
o Proactively identify and remedy equipment issues, to maximise equipment uptime.
o Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements.
o Ensure all training is completed on time per client learning management system.
o Must be willing to take on and familiarize with all relevant site systems and equipment as deemed necessary to complete the role.
Person Specification - Experience:
o Successful Time served apprenticeship completed (MAMF, Fabrication or toolmaking).
o Minimum 1 year post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
Skills, Aptitude, Knowledge:
o Must be able to TIG & MMA weld to good standard (Non Coded).
o Skilled and experienced at mechanical repairs.
o Strong problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
o Basic PC skills will be required as part of the job.
o Must be a team player with good communication skills.
o Well presented with good interpersonal skills in a customer-facing environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
o Senior Trades qualification.
o Basic computer skills required.
o TIG & MMA welding.
o Proven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
Working Pattern:
Tuesday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 6 am to 1:30 pm.
