Learning & Development Co-OrdinatorRole: Learning & Development Co-OrdinatorCompany: Boliden Tara MinesLocation: Navan, County MeathFull-time, PermanentAn excellent opportunity has arisen for the position of Learning & Development Co-Ordinator within the company.Reporting to the Head of HR the main purpose of the L&D Co-Ordinator role is to co-ordinate training of employees on health, safety, environmental and quality systems/procedures and general operational duties.The role will involve the L&D Co-Ordinator contributing to raising the skills and effectiveness levels within the organisation and contributing to on- going improvement within the Training Function. A lot of emphasis will be placed on knowledge transfer and competence levels within the organisation.The L&D Co-Ordinator will be expected to work closely with the Head of HR, Department Managers, Heads of Sections, supervisors and relevant stakeholders on a comprehensive versatility/upskilling programme.The successful applicant will work and lead in a way that supports Boliden Tara’s core values of Care, Courage & Responsibility.Your Job – your tasks will include:In line with training and applicable procedures, conduct all duties in a way that promotes Boliden’s values, & best practice standards relating to health, safety, environmental & quality performanceRole model Boliden core values at all timesAssist the Department Managers, Heads of Section and relevant supervisors in the identification of training needsCo-ordinate all external training such as OEM training for equipment and machines (based on input from Head of Section, Supervisors/Shift boss/Foreman/Team Leader) and statutory training e.g. hot works, working on heights etc.Raising the skills and effectiveness levels and contributing to on-going improvementAssist where necessary to train employees on procedures, systems, and general operational duties.Work closely with the trainee and the Head of Section/supervisor to ensure trainees are fully competent post training – inclusion in competency assessment process/follow up where required.Maintain training records and all necessary training administration including the use of the workday computerized LMS systemAudit the Training system on a monthly basis and follow up on corrective actions where necessaryAssist in the evaluation of training effectiveness and identification of methods to improve trainingSpecific projects relating to training as determined by the Head of HR.Operational duties may be required from time to time but not when facilitating/coordinating training with employeesResponsible for setting up and follow-up to ensure the training budget is within control with support from Department Heads.Experience & QualificationsTraining Skills Certificate QQI Level 6 or equivalent /willingness to undertake this accreditation as part of roleExperience of operating the equipment and an understanding of the demands on productionEffective communication skills both verbal and writtenInfluencing and computer literacy skills are importantPeople coaching skills - motivating and maintaining standardsGood organisational, planning and time management skillsA desire for creativity and innovation as it is important for the function to be continuously improvingYou have a flexible approach to work, are open and accepting of necessary change and innovation within the company.There will be a requirement for experience in areas of mine where Co-Ordinator will be involved with OEMs etc.Additional Info:This role will be full time, Mon – Fri basis from 8am – 16.30pm.There will be a degree of flexibility associated with this role in line with operational requirements.There will be some international travel involved as part of this role.We strive to achieve diversity and inclusion among our employees and therefore welcome all applicants.
