A leading food producer in County Kerry seeks an experienced and proactive Quality Manager.
The successful candidate will oversee the food safety and quality management systems on site, ensuring all processes align with industry standards. They will report directly to the Operations Manager and be instrumental in upholding and enhancing quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the food safety and quality management systems on site.
* Lead the food safety team, driving improvements through a structured internal audit program.
* Manage the laboratory function, ensuring precise and timely analysis.
* Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high milk quality standards.
* Ensure full compliance with certifications such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 14001.
* Act as the primary point of contact for Regulatory Authorities and lead all third-party and customer audits.
* Champion a positive food safety culture throughout the company, ensuring best practices are implemented and followed.
* Oversee the investigation and timely resolution of consumer complaints.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and practices.
* Coordinate and manage the site's environmental management system.
* Serve as the main liaison with customers on technical and quality matters.
Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3-5 years in a senior technical or quality management role within the food production industry.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
