Position Overview
The successful candidate will spearhead the implementation of our EU and Irish-funded climate action and energy transition projects. We seek an individual passionate about positive climate action, capable of managing and delivering energy and climate transition projects within a multicultural team while ensuring robust stakeholder engagement and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Project and Stakeholder Management
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams within TEA, European Energy Agencies, and partner organisations.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; create detailed work plans; allocate resources; and ensure timely, budget-compliant project completion.
Facilitate the delivery of project actions and knowledge sharing through workshops, one-on-one support, webinars, town halls, and events.
Plan and complete all reports and claims associated with national and EU projects.
Liaise with EU partners and develop strong working relationships.
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for national and EU projects.
Organise project launches, conferences, and attend relevant events to promote projects.
Engage in partner meetings and internal communications, including regular project conference calls and meetings.
Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, NGOs, community groups, businesses, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and advance climate action efforts.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect and analyse data and metrics to measure the impact of climate engagement initiatives.
Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Advocacy, Research and Thought Leadership
Collaborate with advocacy teams to develop and promote effective climate policies at local, regional, and national levels.
Stay updated on the latest developments in climate science, policies, and communication strategies.
Contribute to thought leadership by publishing articles, whitepapers, or presenting at conferences.
Team Collaboration
Work with colleagues across TEA to integrate climate and energy project actions into various organisational activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members to build capacity and achieve project deliverables successfully.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy, Climate Action, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field with a deep understanding of energy transition, climate science, adaptation, mitigation, and sustainability principles; Relevant certifications are an advantage.
Demonstrated project management and delivery experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and teams.
Willingness to travel in Europe to support the project.
Proficiency in data analysis, metrics tracking, and reporting.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex energy and climate challenges with clients and partners.
Experience in advocating for climate policies and driving positive change.
Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools and software.
Flexibility to travel within Ireland and the EU for meetings, workshops, and events.
Full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
Eligibility to work in Ireland on a permanent basis.
