About ALSAA ALSAA is North Dublin's premier sports and fitness association based at Dublin Airport.

About the role We are currently seeking a General Manager .
This role will be based in our complex at Dublin Airport, and reports to the Council.
This is a 3-year fixed term contract with a 6-month probation period.
Job Description The General Manager will oversee the daily operations of the not-for-profit sports complex, ensuring the delivery of high-quality sport and leisure services to members and the community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sport and leisure management, excellent marketing and social media skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team.
This role requires a proactive, organised individual, with excellent communication skills, who can develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, members, local businesses, community groups, and funding partners.
Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the sports complex Ensure all facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures Develop and manage operational budgets Take initiative to identify and address operational challenges Plan and coordinate events, programs, and activities within the sports complex Maintain organised records of operations, finances, and customer interactions Implement effective scheduling for staff and facility use Serve as the primary point of contact for the sports complex Communicate effectively with the Council, employees, members, and external partners Prepare and present monthly reports to the Council Engage with the community to understand their needs and preferences Marketing and Social Media: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the sports complex, in conjunction with marketing support Create promotional materials and social media content to highlight events, programs, and services, to engage the community and increase visibility Leadership and Management: Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development Collaborate with team members to achieve organisational goals Promote a culture of teamwork and mutual support Who you are Proactive and self-motivated Team player with a collaborative approach Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Commitment to delivering high-quality services to the community Skills / Background & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum 5 years' proven experience in a senior sport and leisure management role Strong marketing and social media skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software Remuneration and Benefits ALSAA offers a very competitive salary (up to €80,000) and benefits package, which includes a generous annual leave entitlement, sick pay scheme and reduced membership rates.
