About the Role
Meta is seeking a Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA, to join our Employment Law & Investigations team. This position will be based in Dublin or London and will provide EMEA-wide employment law support.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic advice and counsel to ER and HR teams across the region on employee-related issues including performance and disciplinary matters, reorganisations, internal investigations, future of work programs, compensation and benefits, corporate transactions, and employment policies and procedures.
* Draft and revise employment-related agreements and policies including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment-related documents.
* Partner with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters. Work on other region-wide projects and initiatives.
* Support employment litigation as necessary.
* Partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and bring strategic and scalable solutions.
* Will to work extended hours when necessary to connect with colleagues from other regions.
Minimum Qualifications
* 3+ years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment.
* Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction with demonstrated academic credentials (Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree).
* Experience with labor and employment law in EMEA including performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures. Willingness to learn employment laws in new jurisdictions.
* Experience with coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects.
* Collaborative and solution-oriented work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* In-house experience preferred but not necessarily required.
