We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for the midlands region to bring their expertise and leadership to our construction projects in Galway and the surrounding areas. As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include:
1. Plan, organise, and direct activities to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, ensuring alignment with client goals and contractual requirements.
3. Regularly evaluate programs, providing progress updates and managing client and design team expectations effectively.
4. Manage resources including workforce, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
5. Lead and coordinate site activities to ensure compliance with engineering designs, technical specifications and safety standards.
6. Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and technical assessors to address challenges and maintain project momentum.
7. Uphold compliance with company quality management systems ensuring that all work adheres to established procedures and engineering specifications.
8. Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions in project delivery.
9. Achieve objectives in timely delivery, cost control, quality, and client satisfaction by driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
10. Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety and Quality at all times setting an example for best practices on site.
11. Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with clients, design teams, and internal office teams to foster a positive and productive working environment.
12. Facilitate and lead regular site meetings, ensuring effective communication and resolution of project issues among stakeholders.
13. Champion lean construction principles by managing and maintaining adherence to the company’s Last Planner System ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency on site (Training will be given).
14. Drive compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals supporting the company’s commitment to green building practices.
Qualifications, skills & experience:
1. Min 5+ years experience in a Project Manager role within construction.
2. Third level qualification in Construction Management or Engineering.
3. Strong financial, commercial and business development acumen.
4. Experience in public contract construction preferred.
5. Proven expertise in managing residential development projects.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of quality and safety management systems.
7. Track record of driving projects to completion within strict deadlines.
8. Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
9. Full Irish Driving licence.
