The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team and technical delivery teams to design and position IT solutions that meet the needs of our SME, enterprise, and public sector customers. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong consultative skills, and the ability to communicate complex IT solutions in a clear and compelling way.The ideal candidate will have experience in managed IT services, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and digital transformation technologies. You will be instrumental in technical pre-sales engagements, running workshops, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and solution design sessions while ensuring smooth handovers to our delivery teams.Job DescriptionWork with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose tailored IT solutions covering Managed Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, Networking, and Cloud Solutions.Conduct customer discovery sessions, assessing business challenges, current IT environments, and future technology needs.Design high-level and detailed solution architectures, ensuring alignment with customer goals and industry best practices.Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops to customers, showcasing the value of our solutions.Assist with the preparation of proposals, RFPs, and tenders, working closely with internal teams to develop compelling technical responses.Provide technical input into pricing strategies, licensing models, and commercial offers.Technical Consultancy & AdvisoryAct as a trusted advisor for customers, providing strategic guidance on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and cloud adoption.Stay ahead of emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for new services and solutions within the Radius Telecoms and IT portfolio.Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, testing and validating solutions in real-world environments before full implementation.Engage with public sector procurement processes (e.g., OGP, eTenders), supporting the sales team in securing government contracts.Work closely with the professional services and support teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.Assist in developing standardized solutions, frameworks, and best practices for delivering IT-managed services.Provide internal training and mentoring to sales and technical teams on new technologies, service offerings, and solution positioning.Stakeholder Engagement & Industry TrendsMaintain strong relationships with technology vendors and partners (Microsoft, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, VMware, etc.).Keep up to date with industry trends in cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and IT service management to drive innovation within the company.QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or senior technical consultant role within an IT Managed Services environment.Proven experience in designing and positioning solutions in one or more of the following areas:Microsoft 365 & Azure (Modern Workplace, Security, Cloud Infrastructure)Cybersecurity (Fortinet, Cisco, Next-Gen Firewalls, Zero Trust Security)Networking (Juniper, Cisco, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi Solutions)Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, VMware, Hyper-V)Backup & Disaster Recovery (Veeam, Datto, Microsoft Backup Solutions)Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Experience in developing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, and presenting solutions to clients.Familiarity with public sector procurement (eTenders, OGP) is a plus.Knowledge of ITIL, NIST, ISO27001, or other IT governance frameworks is desirable.Certifications (Preferred)Microsoft AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) or equivalent.Fortinet NSE4/NSE5 or Cisco CCNP Security.Networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS).ITIL Foundation or higher (optional but beneficial).Soft SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skills.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at all levels.High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.Additional InformationCompetitive salary with performance-based bonuses.Continuous learning opportunities, including training and certifications in Microsoft, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, and other technologies.Hybrid work model (mix of remote and on-site engagements).Exciting career growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding IT services company.Comprehensive benefits package, including pension, health insurance, and professional development support.If you feel we are a good match for each other, you can apply online now!If you’d like to understand more about the role or life at Radius before applying, then please contact our talent team via talent@radius.com.Radius is an equal opportunities employer.
