The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Nurse to join our Child & Family team in Killorglin Day Community Care Centre, Co. Kerry. The post holder will have responsibility to provide general nursing care to the clients in Killorglin Community Care Centre over a fixed term of one year. The Nurse also holds responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the work that our Carers undertake in the centre.
This role is a part-time (18.75 hours per week) job share arrangement with flexibility required across 5 days per week. The current working schedule is 5 days on / 5 days off – Thursday to Wednesday, but this is subject to change according to the needs of the service.

Candidate Requirements:
1. EDUCATION:
2. A recognised Nursing Qualification is essential.
3. Current Nursing or Midwifery Board of Ireland Registration
1. KNOWLEDGE:
2. A knowledge and appreciation of the Society, its ethos, mission and values.
3. Understanding of health and safety requirements in this area.
4. Understanding of HSE and HIQA standards for nursing.
5. High level of clinical knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
1. EXPERIENCE:
2. At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse is essential.
3. Experience of working with the elderly or this age group is essential.
4. Experience of working in the community/ voluntary sector would be an advantage.
