Job Description
AWS is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team drives excellence in Infrastructure Operations, ensuring quality delivery and acceptance of new build data centers from an Operations perspective.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Represent the Infrastructure Operations team through the build lifecycle of a Data Center.
* Review and finalize fit-outs, ensuring critical spares and Operations Bill-of-Materials.
* Initiate maintenance contracts in conjunction with TIPMs, Procurement, and Construction teams.
Typical Day:
The DCEO Project Engineer's day consists of site walks, reviewing technical drawings, identifying operational concerns, and following up on their remediation. They work with global teams to resolve issues and report to senior Operations leadership on progress and concerns.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of Data Center design concepts and DC technical infrastructure.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion.
Physical Requirements:
* Walk job sites in uneven terrain.
* Work at heights and from ladders.
* Lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more.

The Data Center Engineering Operations team works closely with DC Engineering Operations as partners and customers to enable DCEO team support and guidance at each step of the new site launch.
