DevOPS/Systems Engineer, Managed Operations
This role involves spearheading the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) initiative and working closely with global AWS teams to deliver high-availability AWS services exclusively for EU customers.
The overarching goal is to deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers. A typical day in this role involves collaborating with technology leaders, contributing to the enhancement of day-to-day operations, and ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
About the Job:
* Oversee the launch of the ESC in 2025
* Work closely with global AWS teams
* Influence the evolution of AWS services and technology
You will be required to occasionally participate in an "on-call" rotation to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience supporting cloud systems or other services
* Proficient troubleshooting and anticipating problems that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of software systems
* Proficient executing standard operating procedures and following operational best practices
* Knowledge of scripting processes in a language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby or coding software applications in a modern language such as Java, TypeScript, or similar
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience working cross-organizationally and leading strategic team efforts requiring work from multiple team members
* Experience performance tuning software applications and optimizing fleet utilization
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code, (such as CDK, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar)
Eligibility requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
