As the Head Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and presentation of the golf course. You will ensure that all aspects of the course are maintained to the highest standards, providing a premium playing surface all year round. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of turf management, a keen eye for detail, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Course Maintenance: Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, including greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and roughs.
2. Turf Management: Implement effective turf care programs, including mowing, irrigation, aeration, fertilization, and pest and disease control.
3. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the greenkeeping team, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of performance.
4. Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and safe operation of all greenkeeping equipment and machinery.
5. Irrigation System: Manage the golf course irrigation system, ensuring optimal water usage and the health of the turf.
6. Course Presentation: Maintain the visual and playing quality of the course to enhance the overall golfer experience.
7. Budget Management: Manage the department's budget efficiently, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards.
8. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and visitors.
9. Course Improvements: Work closely with the club's management team to develop and implement plans for course improvements and projects.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Greenkeeper or in a senior greenkeeping role.
* Strong knowledge of turf management, agronomy, and the latest industry practices.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
* A proactive approach with a passion for delivering excellence.
* Relevant qualifications in sports turf management or a related field (preferred).
* Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and peak golf seasons as required.
