Accounts Assistant Job Description
A leading hotel in Dublin is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Your Role:
* Accurately record all sales and highlight any issues.
* Prepare daily sales reports.
Cash Management: Ensure accurate control of the hotel's cash through daily income audits, reconcile daily cash and credit card receipts, and maintain internal control systems, highlighting any issues to relevant departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform input of purchase invoices into the hotel accounting system.
* Reconcile creditor statements and handle supplier queries.
* Prepare necessary payments for suppliers for approval by the Financial Controller.
* Invoice customers and manage aged debtors, ensuring timely payment according to credit terms.
* Assist with monthly end processes, including accruals and supplier account reconciliations.
Requirements: Previous experience in a similar hotel environment, strong communication skills, and knowledge of accounting functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required, with an advantage if you have experience with hotel systems.
