Senior Procurement Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to lead procurement operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost efficiency to support business growth.
The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities at the Waterford plant. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, optimizing supplier partnerships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the local procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.
2. Develop and execute strategic procurement plans that align with business objectives.
3. Collaborate with Global Procurement teams to maximize sourcing opportunities and leverage supplier partnerships.
4. Partner with Global Category Managers to enhance procurement processes across various product categories.
5. Conduct market analysis to identify, evaluate, and onboard best-in-class suppliers.
6. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, conducting regular performance and quality reviews.
7. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, cost efficiencies, and service-level agreements.
8. Ensure seamless procurement of components, raw materials, and direct materials, including packaging.
9. Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any concerns proactively.
10. Achieve budget, inventory, and cost-saving targets through data-driven procurement strategies.
11. Support New Product Introductions (NPIs), ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations.
12. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent supply disruptions.
13. Continuously enhance procurement policies, procedures, and systems to drive operational excellence.
14. E nsure full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and government importation requirements for goods outside the EU.
Requirements:
* Experience: 7-10 years in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
* Qualifications: Degree in Purchasing & Materials Management (IIPMM) or equivalent.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP LX and MRP systems (essential), along with strong Microsoft Office capabilities.
* Industry Knowledge: Experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
* Negotiation & Leadership: Strong contract management, negotiation, and supplier relationship skills.
* Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
* Global Sourcing: Knowledge of international procurement practices and supplier networks.
