Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated Culinary Innovation Technologist to join their team based in Kildare. As a Culinary Innovation Technologist, you will be responsible for creating and developing new food products and recipes, as well as improving existing ones. You will work closely with the culinary team and other departments to ensure that products meet quality standards and are aligned with customer needs.Responsibilities:Develop new food products and recipes that meet customer needs and quality standardsModify existing recipes to improve taste, texture, and nutritional valueConduct research on food trends and consumer preferences to inform product developmentDrive the launch of new product concepts through the approved process ensuring each stage is documented and signed off according to procedureOrganise product and sample submissions to customers and participate in presentations externally and internally to stakeholders and customersArrange trials and pre-production trials on new products through the pilot plant and the manufacturing unitCompletion and recording of customer trackers, product costings, sensory analysis trials, competitor benchmarking and shelf-life analysis trials from an organoleptic and microbiological point of viewCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure product successConduct sensory evaluations and other tests to ensure products meet quality standardsManage product development timelines and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budgetParticipate in brainstorming sessions to generate new product ideas and conceptsMaintain accurate records of product development activities and resultsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in product development in the food industry preferablyStrong knowledge of food ingredients, food processing, and food safety regulationsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recordsIf you are a self-starter with a passion for food and innovation, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
