About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning and start-up phases of our projects, ensuring that all mechanical systems, equipment, and processes are tested, validated, and fully operational. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong leadership experience who can drive the successful delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects in a dynamic, high-performance environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, innovation, and excellence in mechanical contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities for projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.
* Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures in line with project specifications and client requirements.
* Oversee the execution of commissioning activities, including testing, debugging, and system handovers.
* Develop pre-commissioning test procedures and documentation, and address any deficiencies found.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate commissioning processes seamlessly into the overall project lifecycle.
* Monitor and report on commissioning progress, identifying potential issues and proactively implementing solutions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and client specifications throughout the commissioning process.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges to ensure the efficient operation of mechanical systems.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate potential issues.
* Train and mentor team members on best practices for commissioning and system start-up procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on pharmaceutical, biopharma, semiconductor, or data centre projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of commissioning processes, system testing, and mechanical start-up procedures.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and system specifications.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
* Proficiency in commissioning software, project management tools, and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
