Are you a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist looking to make an impact in adult rehabilitation? Medforce have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic SLT to join our client’s multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to adults with complex needs.
About the Role:
You will work within our client’s adult rehabilitation setting, supporting patients with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties. Dysphagia expertise is essential, as a significant part of the caseload involves assessment and management of swallowing disorders in a variety of conditions including neurological and acquired brain injury.
You will be part of a supportive and experienced SLT team and wider MDT, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and dietitians, contributing to holistic and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Independent assessment and management of adults with dysphagia.
2. Supporting communication rehabilitation across a range of acquired disorders.
3. Contributing to MDT goal-setting, reviews, and discharge planning.
4. Providing education and training to staff, patients, and families.
5. Supporting service development initiatives and clinical audit.
About You:
1. Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and CORU registration.
2. Demonstrable experience and confidence in managing dysphagia independently.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a dynamic MDT.
5. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
