Post-Doctoral Researcher in Built Environment
The Technological University Dublin invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher position in the Built Environment department. This is a fixed-term contract for up to 5 years, with an initial funding of 2 years.
Job Summary
This role involves working on collaborative research projects within the Built Environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing research funding proposals, conducting research, and publishing papers in reputable journals.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research in the Built Environment field, including developing and implementing research plans, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing findings in academic journals.
* Develop and submit research funding proposals to secure external funding for research projects.
* Collaborate with industry partners and academics to develop and deliver research projects.
* Provide academic administrative support, including teaching and mentoring students.
Requirements
* A PhD in engineering, construction, or built environment disciplines or a related field.
* Evidence of a research profile and publication record within the requisite subject area.
* Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies.
* Experience of developing research funding proposals.
* Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Evidence of strong collaboration record, particularly with industry partners.
* Experience working on collaborative projects.
* Proficiency in data analysis.
Salary
The salary for this position is €47,412 gross per annum, which may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Location
The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin campuses: Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown, or Tallaght.
