Clinical Tutor - Ophthalmology
Reports to: Prof Conor Murphy, Professor and Head of Department of Ophthalmology.
Location:
Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Dublin 2.
Contract:
12 months, renewable, full time. Start Date: July 2025.

Objective
The principal objectives of the post are to participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examinations of the undergraduate teaching programme and to advance your skills in research, medical ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery.

Responsibilities
Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the junior, intermediate and senior cycle of the four and five year teaching programmes. Contributing to the assessment of students in the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the four and five year programmes.
Requirements
Possess evidence of registration with the Irish Medical Council. Possess a keen interest in lecturing and interacting with undergraduate students. Possess excellent communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Please note that successful candidates will be required to complete Occupational Health Clearance, Garda Vetting, and Police Clearance (if in residence outside of Ireland for periods of 6 months or more at any stage).
