As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, commissioning, and qualification of a major expansion to an existing bulk vaccine processing facility.
Working as a client owner representative within the Process Engineering Team, you will ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced process engineering professional with a background in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, looking to apply their expertise in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of process design based on project requirements and scope.
Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring stakeholder inputs and requirements are captured in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) deliverables.
Oversee equipment package design, factory acceptance testing, installation, and commissioning for key systems, including product vessels, single-use mixers, single-use UFDF skids, and CIP/SIP skids.
Ensure adherence to global and site-specific engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
Monitor project milestones, provide status reports, and liaise with key stakeholders throughout project execution.
Support C&Q activities, including reviewing system lifecycle documents, risk assessments, and validation protocols.
Manage installation, start-up, and testing of process systems, ensuring post-OQ readiness for performance qualification (PQ) and process performance qualification (PPQ).
Act as a key liaison between internal teams, equipment vendors, and SMEs within the global manufacturing network.
Contribute to project management activities, including schedule development, cost tracking, and coordination of project deliverables.
Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline such as Biotechnology or Industrial Chemistry.
Minimum of 8 years' post-graduate experience in process engineering within biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with exposure to design, construction, and start-up environments.
Strong understanding of process engineering and technologies relevant to bulk vaccine or biologics processing facilities.
Experience leading or influencing teams in a matrix organisation.
Knowledge of single-use technologies, DCS/PLC process control platforms, and SDLC methodologies (e.g., DeltaV).
Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
