Meet the team:
Our Quality Assurance team are looking for a dynamic and skilled Calibration Supervisor to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. In this role, you will plan and direct the activities related to the calibration function in a manner which meets company standards and methods as determined by Quality Assurance or other engineering departments. You will outline and implement training procedures of employees for the calibration laboratory including equipment set up, calibrations, documentation and quality assurance standards. You will take an active role in making recommendations for capital expenditures and personnel in the calibration area as well as selecting and developing personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Where you come in:
You will perform supervisory and administrative duties associated with calibration personnel management.
You will coordinate the tasks and work plans of the Calibration team.
You will observe and verify the accuracy and adequacy of the calibration activities and records.
You will generate and maintain quality metrics and reports, as required, and implement appropriate preventive/corrective actions (as needed) to improve quality. You will maintain calibration performance data.
You will identify problems and propose solutions that are timely, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements.
You will assist in the development of equipment and specifications in regards to the calibration function.
You will coordinate with internal departments and external labs to complete both internal and external calibrations.
You will identify potential issues and propose resolutions that are timely, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements.
You will identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
You will assist in the development of calibration procedures.
You will work across sites to ensure alignment of Calibration Activities
You will conduct training for calibration team.
You will work with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other department personnel, as necessary, to support quality and business objectives.
You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
Experience calibrating equipment such as: scales/balances, thermometers, temperature & humidity chambers, dimensional equipment, mass, force, dewpoint, pressure/vacuum, time, velocity, ovens, refrigerators/freezers, differential pressure, etc.
Experience reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Experience generating reports, adding records, updating histories, and performing data entry in the calibration database.
Experience installing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing measuring equipment.
Experience maintaining calibration test equipment, work area, and lab.
Strong computer skills desired; Calibration software such as Maximo/Blue Mountain or similar experience preferred.
Experience in calibration laboratory set up, equipment qualification, training Calibration Technicians desired.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of industry experience
