Responsibilities of this Professionally Qualified Social Worker job: Have a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Child Protection and Welfare, Fostercare etc.
Provide a direct point of access for the local community and offer initial and holistic social assessment and intervention to children, youth, families and groups.
Develop and implement care plans for children and families in need of support or intervention.
Deliver social work service in collaboration with other disciplines / agencies as required, in appropriate settings reflecting the needs of the service user.
Participate in case reviews, strategy meetings, and inter-agency planning.
Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families.
Maintain accurate records and comply with Tusla's quality standards and governance procedures.
Requirements for this Professionally Qualified Social Worker job: A professional qualification in Social Work (e.g.
NQSW, CQSW, BSS in Social Work, MSW).
Must be registered with CORU as a Social Worker.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland ie.
hold appropriate work permission such as EU Passport, IRP Stamp 4 or 1G.
Full driving licence and access to appropriate transport as there will be travel involved.
Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
