What We Value: A person centred approach to care. Passion for promoting and empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. An understanding of HIQA regulations and standards, New Directions, Disability Act 2005, Health and Safety Legislation, and GDPR. Support Worker Essential Criteria: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support.
Equivalent qualifications to Healthcare support will be considered, with a minimum of 1 years relevant experience working with Adults with an Intellectual Disability. Applications will also be considered from candidates who have successfully completed at least 1 years of their Nursing or Social Care studies. What's desirable? Full driver's licence and access to a road worthy car insured for business purposes. Experience supporting people in the community is highly desirable. Willingness to drive Association vehicles. Good IT skills to support daily tasks. Note: A valid Irish work permit is required where applicable.
