We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team in Galway.
About the Role
This is a permanent opportunity that will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight to our finance department.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic financial leadership to ensure operations align with organisational missions and objectives.
* Offer insights and advice to the CEO and Board on financial matters, including cash flow management, investment decisions and financial risk management.
* Lead and manage an existing finance team.
* Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management accounts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks specific to the public sector and charity/not-for-profit regulations.
* Lead the preparation for annual audits and manage the relationship with external auditors, ensuring all financial records and procedures meet audit requirements.
Requirements
* You will be a fully qualified accountant holding accreditation with ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA.
* You will have a minimum of 5-7 years post-qualified experience working within an organisation of a similar scale.
* You will have a strong background in financial reporting, compliance, problem-solving and process improvement.
* You will have an experience track record of analysing data to make recommendations on financial and organisational strategy.
* You will have experience in managing small teams as well as having strong commercial decision-making experience.
Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €110,000 per annum
