Cold Store Maintenance Technician
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Cold Store Maintenance Technician based in Grange Castle. You must have both mechanical and electrical experience with a strong understanding of an automated environment. This is a multi-skilled role and you must be willing to work in a cold environment on a continental shift pattern.
Principle Accountabilities will include:
* To be fully responsible for the maintenance function on shift.
* To ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest standards.
* To record all work carried out through the maintenance department in SAP and on Shift Report.
* To approve the good completion of work carried out.
* Implement permanent fix for all issues raised on the SAP shift report.
* To be responsible for the maintenance H&S function on shift.
* To provide daily feedback to management through recording and reporting on all maintenance activities.
* To be a hands-on/front-line leader of the team in breakdown situations.
* To assist management in all technical/automation activities (projects, equipment install, reporting and continuous improvements etc.).
* To help build a continuous improvement environment in the facility.
* To be a good communicator and have the ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
* To attend all required shift meetings.
* To carry out a shift handover meeting at the start and end of each shift.
* Responsible for identifying equipment spares and informing Manager/supervisor of spare used during your shift.
Profile description:
Skills & Qualifications Required:
* Strong mechanical and electrical background.
* Electrical background – ability to use multimeter and troubleshoot electrical faults.
* Food/refrigeration and other Utility experiences an advantage.
* Trades, Diploma or degree qualifications required.
* Good team player and self-motivated.
* Available for call out duties and/or overtime when required.
* Computer literacy (SAP).
You must be available for call outs and overtime when scheduled in this position and must be prepared to undertake other work that may be assigned to you from time to time, which may be outside the area of your normal duties.
