DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Compliance professional to join the established Ireland Compliance team, based in Dublin. The role will suit an experienced Compliance professional that enjoys working in a more generalised role within a dynamic business environment.
Utilising the Firm's 2nd line of defense framework, the Ireland Compliance team broad coverage responsibilities includes multiple J.P. Morgan Irish regulated entities across Payments, Fund Administration Services, Custody and Depositary & Markets industry sectors.
The successful applicant will report into the Ireland Head of Compliance and be afforded with the opportunity to develop their career within a leading global financial services firm and gain exposure to multifaceted sectors, products and markets.
Job responsibilities:
Contribute to the preparation and completion of annual Legal Entity Compliance Plans.
Regulatory engagement and oversight.
Internal committee and Board reporting.
Monitoring and assurance reviews.
Compliance Risk assessment including new product development and implementation.
General internal stakeholder management of ad-hoc queries across all three lines of defense.
The role is a Controlled Function CF-2 under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Regime, and depending on the experience of the candidate, the role may in time involve becoming a PCF-12 for one of the J.P. Morgan Ireland legal entities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Extensive Compliance related experience with track record of delivering high quality 2nd line of defense compliance oversight.
Strong knowledge of EU and Irish financial services regulations, with specific focus on PSD2, Investment Firms Regulation, MiFID, Individual Accountability Framework/Fitness & Probity and Outsourcing requirements. It is understood and not expected that candidates will have proficiency in all listed areas.
Strong industry and product knowledge of Fintech, Payments and / or Funds industry.
Possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skills.
Strong self-motivation, interpersonal, multi-tasking and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and demonstrate a solution focused risk management decisioning mindset.
Detail-oriented; possess a high-level of attention to detail and quality for their work product
Ability to work both independently and as a core team member
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Previous proficiency of regulatory engagement would be advantageous.
Experience using the MS Suite of products
MBA or Bachelor's degree with professional certification preferred
