Production Scheduler Role at Vertiv
About This Role
The production scheduler plays a crucial part in the production process at Vertiv. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various teams across the manufacturing side of the business to ensure a smooth flow of production.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate production information by interacting daily with Department Managers, Engineers, and Production Team Leaders to monitor progress against the daily schedule and identify changes to scope and resource planning.
* Work closely with the Production Manager to input customer order books and program requirements, ensuring accurate delivery dates for incoming and prospective orders are available.
* Liaise with Project Engineers, Estimating, Production, and Logistics to guarantee accurate information is readily available and that interfaces with MRP/ERP systems align with production needs.
* Collate inputs from various processes and product areas, regularly reviewing activity durations in each work centre to keep the schedule up to date.
Key Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar position.
* Prior manufacturing planning experience.
* Commercial awareness.
* Effective communication skills.
* Confidence working with IT systems in a manufacturing environment (ideally within a lean environment).
* Excellent attention to detail and self-discipline required.
