Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Stores Person / Manual Labourer for Tritech's Mechanical Department to manage our inventory and maintain a smooth flow of goods in and out of our Site stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing items while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Additionally, this role will involve manual labour tasks to assist our electrical trade team as required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage the intake of deliveries & movement for all material/equipment to site in conjunction with the planned delivery schedules.
* Manage the sign out of material/equipment to sub-contractors & log.
* Accurately label, stock and store incoming goods in the appropriate location.
* Monitor stock levels of sundries & update construction manager / supervisors of levels in a timely manner.
* Ensure storage areas are kept secure, organised, clean & tidy.
* Pick, pack, and transport goods to agreed locations on site as directed by the construction manager/chargehand.
* Coordinate with other departments to fulfil requests for materials and supplies.
* Monitor inventory levels and place orders for replenishment as required in conjunction with construction manager/project lead.
* Keep record & manage direct plant on site.
* Manage the return of empty cable drums in a timely manner once cabling has been pulled from drums.
* Assist the mechanical trade team with manual labour tasks.
* Complete housekeeping duties as directed.
* Follow health and safety guidelines and report any incidents or hazards.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment preferred.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Manual Handling and Safe Pass a requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for extended periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
