Currently experiencing growth in new business opportunities, we now require an Energy Engineer to support the Energy Auditing Department with conducting audits, completing energy calculations and generating reports.
This individual will join Lawler Sustainability and work on industrial and commercial building projects to reduce energy consumption and improve the sustainability of these developments.

Candidate Profile
The role will suit a candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business.
Work experience within a fast-paced service, construction or engineering, sustainability environment would be a distinct advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant Honours Degree in Mechanical, Energy or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (NFQ Level 7 or 8 or 9).
Ideally 2-3 years of experience in energy auditing, energy engineering, or sustainability consulting.
Strong knowledge of energy calculation methodologies and energy performance metrics.
Hands-on experience with ISO 50001 certification processes, including compliance audits and EnMS implementation.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent technical report writing skills, with attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs and compliance with industry standards.
Demonstrated ability to learn on the job and adapt to new challenges.
Full Irish Driving Licence or any Valid Driving Licence in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct or participate in energy audits across industrial, commercial, and public sector buildings to identify energy efficiency measures and cost-saving opportunities.
Perform energy calculations to assess project feasibility and expected savings.
Coordinate with contractors, schedule site visits, and compile essential information for budgetary quotations.
Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines.
Produce reports and provide advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
Support ISO 50001 certification projects by conducting energy reviews, identifying significant energy users (SEUs), and implementing energy performance improvements.
Analyze utility data and on-site measurements to establish baseline energy performance and recommend improvements.
Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for proposed energy efficiency measures and carbon reduction strategies.
Assist in preparing grant applications and incentive program submissions for energy efficiency projects.
Stay updated on energy policies, building regulations, and emerging energy management technologies.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to develop and present energy-saving recommendations.
Contribute to the development of decarbonization roadmaps and Net Zero strategies.
