Job Title: Head of Technology – Professional ServicesJob Description:Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Technology to oversee their IT operations and drive strategic initiatives. This permanent role is ideally suited to someone with a proven background in Project Delivery and a focus on strategic Technology goals.Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the internal IT function (Current team 10-12 people), ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, reliable technology service to the wider firm.Drive and deliver key IT and infrastructure projects aligned to business goals, including large-scale system upgrades and migrations.Define and execute the firm's IT strategy, identifying forward-thinking solutions to meet evolving business requirements.Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and operational procedures in line with industry best practices.Oversee the firm’s IT budget, evaluating expenditure and cost-saving opportunities.Manage relationships with key technology vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and value for investment.Maintain responsibility for the firm’s information security framework and incident response planning.Oversee data protection compliance and enforce robust security protocols.Ensure robust backup systems are in place and tested regularly.Provide technical leadership on infrastructure development and business continuity measures.Guide and support staff training on IT security and compliance awareness.Champion IT governance and risk management practices, adhering to firm-wide compliance frameworks.Provide insights and oversight into firm-wide software and infrastructure standardisation.Experience RequiredMinimum 10 years in senior IT leadership roles, with demonstrable success in managing enterprise-level IT operations.Proven expertise in cybersecurity strategy and vendor management.Prior experience in leading complex ERP or enterprise system migration projects.Background in professional services, legal, or regulated environments preferred.Desirable SkillsStrong project management capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.Familiarity with IT governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).Experience with data protection, continuity planning, and audit processes.Exposure to ITIL or similar service delivery methodologies.Educational RequirementsThird-level degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP would be advantageous.Working Hours & BenefitsMonday to Friday work scheduleHybrid working arrangements availableCompetitive Salary and Benefits including pension scheme, bonus, and professional development supportDublin City Centre based role with Car parking available on site
