Wills Bros are seeking an experienced Engineering/Surveying Manager to join our team in Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and directing engineering and surveying activities across a diverse range of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or surveying management, with excellent leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects. Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with purchasing/hiring and allocate equipment as needed.
* Onboard and manage access for drone systems (e.g., Propeller, Trimble Stratus), assist with purchasing, conduct drone surveys, and provide training/mentoring for drone pilots.
* Manage drone resources and allocate them for specific projects.
* Lead and manage teams of engineers, related professionals, and support personnel.
* Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility in managing technical activities, promoting teamwork, and achieving project success.
* Facilitate effective communication between different teams and ensure collaboration is seamless.
* Ensure proper allocation of survey equipment.
* Assist with purchasing and prepare models for different machine control systems and allocate resources for machine control systems.
* Provide training and mentoring for drone pilots to enhance their skills and ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Promote a collaborative and cohesive team environment.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering or surveying management within the Civil Engineering sector.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team.
* In-depth knowledge of surveying equipment, software, and techniques.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with construction regulations and health & safety standards in Ireland.
* A proactive approach with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
