SALES MANAGER – FINANCE/MOTOR INDUSTRY
Our client, a market leader in insurance and assistance products, seeks an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow the automotive retail division in Ireland. This role involves overseeing a network of motor dealers distributing insurance products and managing a team of account managers.
Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share and revenue in the automotive retail sector.
o Set and monitor sales targets for the dealer network and account management team.
o Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
* Dealer Network Management:
o Support and manage a network of motor dealers to enhance sales performance.
o Provide training to dealers on insurance products for compliance and effective selling.
o Conduct regular visits to dealers to maintain strong relationships and address business needs.
* Team Management:
o Lead a team of Field Sales Account Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews.
o Ensure team alignment, communication, and collaboration.
* Relationship Management:
o Act as the primary liaison with partners, fostering collaboration and goal alignment.
o Develop tailored strategies to address partner needs and drive mutual success.
* Training & Development:
o Design and deliver training programs for dealers, ensuring they are equipped to sell insurance products effectively.
* Additional Duties:
o Undertake other responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating innovation and adaptability.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
* APA or CIP qualification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
* Proven sales leadership experience, ideally in the automotive or insurance sectors.
* Expertise in managing large portfolios and leading high-performing teams.
* Strong background in relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience delivering training programs is advantageous.
* Proficient in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of automotive and insurance products is a strong advantage.
* Willingness to travel regularly.
* Valid driver's license.
