Job Description
Cork has been the center of excellence for Fire Detection Connected Services since 2022, following the success of innovative products built by the team. One such project is Xaap, a mobile and web-based application providing building inspection reporting in a centralized platform.
Xaap has helped customers identify over 1 million deficiencies within their building systems, uncovering opportunities to improve safety and compliance. The application has tested nearly 84 million individual devices across North America, including fire alarms, extinguishers, security devices, sprinklers, and other systems.
This role is part of the Fire Detection Group, reporting into the Software Engineering Manager based in Cork. As a Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing web applications and cloud services, contributing to the full development lifecycle from inception through testing, and working independently and collaboratively in a geographically distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement web applications and cloud services.
* Contribute to the full development lifecycle from inception through testing.

* Contribute to using development tools, build system, source control, and tracking system.
Requirements
* BS Degree in CS or relevant field.
* 5+ years experience as a Web Developer/Software Engineer.
* Expert knowledge of Javascript/Typescript on both client and server-side.
* Proven track record of bringing designs to life with an eye for detail.
* Excellent understanding of frameworks such as Angular, React etc.
* Experience consuming and developing REST API's that follow the JSON API specification.
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
* Experienced with Agile processes.
* Detailed driven especially for code reviews of clean code and impressive UI.
* Experience of Automated Testing, Unit testing and Integration Testing.
* Experience with Relational and/or No-SQL/Graph databases.
* Git or other version control experience.
