We are working with a leading consulting and engineering services group on their search for an Associate Director who specializes in the railways/highways sector to join their growing team in Ireland.
Your role will be to lead a relevant Railway Project in the Area of Cork and act as the portfolio lead for the delivery of our railways projects in Ireland.
Projects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision in both the UK and Ireland for Public Clients and Contractors.
Responsibilities
1. Managing, expanding, and developing key client relationships.
2. Managing project work on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgets.
3. Coordinating multi-disciplinary design of railways projects.
4. Commercial management of projects, acting as the primary client contact for cost and commercial-related reporting and quality assurance.
5. Resource management for the project.
6. Line management responsibility for the development and performance management of other team members to support the development of the company’s business.
7. Working to continually improve services and drive innovation.
Requirements
1. 10 years or more experience in rail/railway infrastructure design.
2. 10 years or more in a Programme Manager/Senior Project Manager role.
3. Experience in NEC Contracts.
4. Experience in preliminary design and planning/statutory process.
5. Experience in Business Development and Tender preparation.
6. Experience engaging with Clients, external stakeholders, and subconsultants.
