Our Client, a leading Industrial Distributor and Europe’s largest supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, is looking to attract a Financial Controller for their Irish Operation.
Reporting directly to the General Manager with a dotted reporting line to the CFO for UK, Ireland and Iceland, the successful candidate will need to be dynamic and results-driven with both strategic and commercial strengths to lead the financial strategy and operations team in Ireland.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Financial Controller will drive strategic decision-making, ensure financial compliance, and play a pivotal role in supporting our business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the Company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
* Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
* Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to optimize efficiency.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
* Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights.
* Lead the preparation of detailed financial models to support business initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
* Supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
* Lead internal and external audits to maintain strong governance practices.
* Manage Company’s capital structure, cash flow, and working capital.
* Evaluate and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.
* Develop policies and frameworks to optimize financial operations.
* Mentor and develop team members to achieve professional growth.
* Promote cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals.
Key Requirements:
* The successful candidate will be fully qualified CPA, ACA, ACCA with at least 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience including 4+ years in a senior management role.
* Strong background in strategic planning, financial analysis, and operational management.
* Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
* Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and projects.
