Company DescriptionEgis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005 and is part of Egis Projects Ireland. ERTO's prime responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel, and the Motorway Traffic Control Centre on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). Including, but not limited to, Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance.Job DescriptionResponsible for the leadership and management of the Motorway Operations Control Centre (MOCC) and services that this control room provides - motorway traffic control and tunnel controlLead the day-to-day management of the MOCC and act as the lead point of contact for the client, (TII), operational partners and stakeholdersManage TII's advanced motorway and tunnel management system applicationsMonitor quality of all notifications and communications sent to stakeholders and the publicLiaise with other ERTO Departments and stakeholders to facilitate, maintain & develop new and existing systems through a capital expenditure programmeEnsure compliance with applicable contractual obligationsLiaise, on behalf of the client, with operational partners and stakeholdersFacilitate operations by guiding critical decisions and development SOP'sDeveloping special event response plans and guiding/training on theseEnsure staff and other resources are being utilised effectively and efficientlyIdentify, develop & report on measures of effectiveness for the MOCC by providing KPI's on transportation management, traveller information, incident management & vehicle detection system data to managers, stakeholders and motorway/tunnel usersPrepare regular reports on the performance of MOCC operationsWrite and present on technical aspects for the MOCCTaking all actions within the scope of the Service in an environmentally responsible mannerQualificationsLevel 8 NFQ Ireland, or other equivalent qualification in a relevant disciplineEssential: at least 5 years of experience managing people in a control roomDesirable: at least 2 years managing a traffic control & tunnel control roomPrevious experience being responsible for the development & management of operations, particularly control room with SCADA or similar control room systemsAn understanding of client relationships and reporting, including stakeholder liaisonDemonstrated ability in employee mentoring & developmentStrong networking abilities and creative problem-solvingChange management experience leading continuous improvement of operating efficienciesA high level of numeracy and demonstrable analytical skillsExcellent verbal & written communication skillsProven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operations environment
