About the role:
Gheel is recognised for its knowledge, practice and understanding of autistic people.
The development of autism knowledge and practice has been a fundamental programme in Gheel's development.
The Practice Development Team is home for Gheel's knowledge exchange activities, a forum within which our autism support and education practitioners come together with researchers, professional partners, and most importantly - autistic people and their families to develop our understanding of autism.
Practice should be constantly developing, absorbing the most up-to-date thinking to create innovative ways of enabling and supporting autistic people.
The team bring together experience and learning to ensure good practice, innovation and excellent clinical governance.
We are looking for an exceptional leader with a good understanding of autism gained professionally, through lived experience or both, to lead our Practice, Quality, Clinical and Learning & Development Teams.
Someone who can extend our reach in developing and promoting excellent autism practice both internally and externally.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Have a minimum of at least 5 years' experience to include comprehensive practice and leadership experience Be an innovative, creative thinker with a proven background of planning and prioritisation Exceptional leadership skills with ability to inspire and develop practice excellence Ability to develop and implement robust risk and evaluation frameworks Skilled in creating learning cultures within organisations Active interest and skill in technology in the workplace Desirable: Knowledge of the social care sector Experience working with autistic adults Why You'll
