Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), compressed air, steam systems, cooling towers, and water treatment systems.
* E nsure continuous and efficient operation of black utilities to support manufacturing and facility needs.
* Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for utility-related issues.
* Implement and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and efficiency.
* E nsure all black utilities comply with local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
* Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and work permits for utility operations.
* Support audits and inspections related to utility systems and facility compliance.
* Work with EHS teams to ensure sustainable energy usage and waste management practices.
* I dentify and implement efficiency improvements to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
* O ptimize system performance through data analysis, monitoring, and process improvements.
* S upport facility expansion, equipment upgrades, and commissioning projects related to black utilities.
* Work closely with GMP utilities (white utilities), production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless facility operations.
* C ollaborate with external vendors and contractors for system maintenance, upgrades, and compliance testing.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in black utilities engineering, facility maintenance, or industrial utilities within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, steam systems, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment.
* Understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and energy management principles.
