To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are seeking applications from Security Officers with a PSA-licence looking for casual work to join our Security Team.
The Security Team provides a 24-hour service to The CCD, responsible for actively patrolling and protecting assets as well as maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff and contractors.
Following a selection process, successful candidates will be rostered to work with our existing security team, rotating duties and schedules. Working hours will be variable, with shifts up to 12 hours in length, any day of the week, and either day or night shift, including weekends.
Shifts are not guaranteed, and the availability of work will depend on business needs. This is NOT a permanent or full-time role.
Key responsibilities:
Prevent loss, damage and theft by carrying out security duties including but not limited to:
* Patrolling internal & external areas
* Control Room Operations/Monitor CCTV
* Monitor and Respond to Fire/Intruder Alarms
* Manage Contractor Access Control
* Management of goods inwards / outwards process
* Act as a cash escort as required
* Checking identification badges and issuing daily access passes
* Performing clearing duties at the end of the day
* Carry out bag security searches as required
* Reporting facility maintenance requirements
* Active role in incident response
* Provision of first aid assistance as required
* Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
* Completion of daily reporting requirements
* Implement emergency procedures, reporting any issues that arise or may affect the viability of such
* Operate in a manner consistent with the Customer Care philosophy of The CCD
* Actively support the H&S objectives of The CCD
* Comply with all CCD policy, procedures and protocols
* Other activities as requested by Head of Security
The successful candidate will have:
* Must have an active Static Guarding PSA licence
* DSP Licence is desirable
* First Aid qualification is desirable
* Evidence of strong customer service focus
* Evidence of good teamwork
* Good communication skills
