The Role
The staff will support and assist Service Users in every aspect of daily living to empower them to live a valued life of optimal independence and participation within their home and the community.
We provide extensive training to our staff and ongoing support to empower them to provide High Quality care to our Service Users on a day-to-day basis.
Job Description for Team Leader for Homecare (Homecare Support Worker)
To support new staff integration with the team and introduce new support workers to service users.
To provide a thorough induction for new staff to service users, including Quality checks / Reviews and Audit Assessments of new service users.
Care reviews on existing service users and provision of domestic and personal care to service users in their own homes.
Attending Team Leader and Management meetings, distributing PPE On Call when required, and performing ad hoc duties as needed.
Liaising with managers in relation to Service User needs and working in co-operation with various professionals and service users and/or carers in providing agreed care plans.
To empower service users to remain independent in their homes, promote community inclusion, and enhance the quality of life of Service Users.
Assisting Service users with personal care and practical needs, reviewing and monitoring Service users health & well-being, and forming a therapeutic relationship and rapport with Service Users.
Maintaining a positive, constructive, and professional relationship, ensuring Service User safety through a high level of observation skills, accurate recording & reporting.
Required Qualifications / Experience
Verifiable home care industry experience of more than 1 year in the last 3 years, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
QQI 5/6 qualifications or willingness to work towards completing QQI 6, eligibility to work in Ireland, and reliable caring nature.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English to a high standard, flexible and adaptable nature, and willingness to travel to provide care to the service users in the community.
Person-centred approach to supporting the Service Users in Homecare and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
