We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our Planning & Environmental Group within Civil, Environmental & Renewables Department of ESB Engineering & Major Projects.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering services and solutions related to environmental site investigations, site remediation, pollution control and waste management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist environmental advice and support to a range of projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Design and oversee environmental site investigations including soil sampling, groundwater sampling and soil vapour assessment.
* Provide advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders and projects in managing and dealing with compliance for contaminated land, remediation works, waste management, de-commissioning of expired assets and management of environmental incidents in compliance with all applicable laws.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required.
* Demonstrated experience in contaminated land with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations.
Requirements:
* Level 8 Environmental/Geological/Hydrogeological Degree
* Qualified Geologist or Hydrogeologist
* Chartered Environmentalist

Salary:
€57,000 to €68,000 per annum
