Outreach Support Worker
Saoirse Domestic Violence Service is seeking an Outreach Support Worker to provide a community outreach service supporting clients experiencing domestic abuse.
The purpose of this role is to provide prevention and early intervention services, training, and network with the community to raise awareness about referral pathways related to domestic violence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support women who have been subjected to domestic violence at a safe location, listen to their experiences, and facilitate consideration of options for a safer future.
* Develop and deliver structured care plans with clients through planned support sessions and encourage active participation in leading their care plans.
* Assist and support women to remain in their homes where safe, including safety planning, and support families staying in our Safe House Project.
* Discuss available options and advise on how to access relevant services, develop referral links for local support services, and networks.
* Create community awareness regarding domestic violence and best practices in combating it.
* Liaise with staff from various sections of the agency to ensure a holistic care approach with families and share relevant information.
* Makes referrals with other agencies to provide assistance, advocacy, and support to clients and their associated care plans.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Salary: Starting at €36,945 per annum.
* Pension: 7% employer's contribution through our Pension Scheme once probation is passed.
* Annual Leave/Public Holidays: Entitled to 25 working days annual leave exclusive of public holidays.
* Paid Sick Leave: Available after 6 months' probation.
* Paid Maternity Leave: Payable after 1 year of service.
* Doctor Visits: Funding towards 2 Doctor visits per year.
* Education Support: Funding towards further education and time off rostered duties where possible.

About You:
* Third-level Qualification (Level 7) in social care, social science, or related field.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a social care setting with women/families impacted by domestic violence.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of challenges and issues affecting women and children experiencing domestic violence.
* Risk assessment/Safety and Care planning knowledge is essential.
Skills:
* Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce is preferable.
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to work alone safely.
* Full driving license and access to own transport.
