Role Purpose
The role of CSA Project Quantity Surveyor will have you working across various civil, structural and architectural contracts ensuring the maximum commercial benefit for the company, from tender through to final account, including all related commercial duties.
CSA Project Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
1. Skilled in budgeting, reporting, developing BOQs, and profit plans specific to CSA scopes
2. Strong communication skills; manage commercial meetings with Clients and Project Teams
3. Administer subcontractor accounts, valuations, final accounts and payments in line with CSA packages
4. Prepare and issue interim and final accounts, applications, remeasures, site changes, and variations
5. Identify and report potential commercial risks; collaborate closely with Planning and Engineering teams
6. Track and cost daily work changes, site instructions, remeasurements, and variations
7. Maintain commercial documentation and backups for CSA-related works
8. Ability to work independently with prioritisation skills
9. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of CSA costs and commercial performance
10. Negotiate with clients or representatives as required

Necessary Requirements of the CSA Project Quantity Surveyor
1. 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying
2. Background in CSA trades or engineering beneficial but not required
3. Prior work placement experience advantageous
4. Strong proficiency in Excel and commercial reporting
5. Understanding of CSA contract conditions and applications
6. Excellent record keeping, administration, and interpersonal skills
Desired Competencies / Special Role Requirements
1. Familiarity with CSA scope commercial obligations and claims formulation
2. Ensure accurate classification of CSA work types: dayworks, unit rates, contract scope
3. Track escalations in material and labour cost within CSA work packages
