Laois Partnership Company is the local development company for Co. Laois. Based in Portlaoise, we run a number of state and EU funded programmes that aim to promote social inclusion, community and rural development and increase employment and enterprise. As part of our service, we run a number of programmes that focus on social inclusion for those living in disadvantage/marginalised communities. We have been awarded the contract to deliver the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2024-2028 and are now seeking a new arrivals support worker to support new communities settling in Co Laois.
This is an exciting time to join our developing organisation and we are seeking to recruit dynamic, solution focused workers to join our team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Relevant Level 7 professional qualification e.g., community development, social sciences, education, or a related field.
2. At least two years’ paid experience in a community development/related field.
3. Experience of working with marginalised individuals and communities.
4. Strong experience in developing and delivering programmes.
5. Commitment to community development principles and approaches.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Full clean driving license, Garda Vetting and professional references will be required for this position.
