Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the production plant operates daily by conducting planned preventative maintenance and responding to emergency break downs.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Well-being policies/procedures to deliver a safety-first culture.
* Understand root cause-based analysis and culture to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Undertake repairs, servicing, and maintenance of a wide range of production plant and machinery to the highest standard.
Additional Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on various heavy plant equipment.
* Fault finding, testing and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts.
* Assist the Maintenance Team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for all spare part lists.
Requirements
* 3rd level qualification in Engineering or similar.
* HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, and/or time served Mechanical background.
* A minimum of 3 years experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated Skills
* Experience working with servicing, repairs and maintenance of plant machinery.
* Knowledge of current H&S legislation.
* Understanding root cause analysis & fault-finding experience on heavy plant machinery & systems.
Prioritised Attributes
* Control & Automaton systems experience.
* Inverter drives, HMIs, and PLCs (preferably Siemens).
* Mechanical drive systems.
* Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* LEAN methodologies experience.
