About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Information Security Lead at Davy. In the role, the successful candidate will:
1. Be at technical escalation point and team lead for security team members
2. Take a lead role in managing, validating, and designing the key technical security controls that secure our business
3. Manage and coordinate security incident response processes
4. Review & investigate the output of security tools, including endpoint protection, email security, vulnerability management platform, SIEM, firewall, web proxies, identity platforms etc.
5. Manage the implementation and development of the security awareness training program
6. Monitor the effectiveness of key security & IT controls
7. Provide IT security oversight and guidance on technology projects and third party risk assessments
8. Take a lead role in selecting and evaluating new and emerging IT security technologies
9. Maintain an awareness of emerging security threats and developments.
10. Ensure that our policies and practices align with relevant industry practices and standards
11. Oversee third party management assurance activities and be the key point of contact for your security managed services
12. Become a key member of the wider IT team to support the overall Davy strategy
Requirements
About you
1. Analytical, organised and problem-solving temperament by nature with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
2. 5+ years of experience in Information Security, combining technical hands-on experience with experience managing a small team of analysts
3. At least one of Security+, CEH, OSCP, CISA, CISM, CISSP or related certifications.
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows, Linux, networking technologies
Advantageous
1. Degree in Information Security or IT
2. M365/Azure Information Security and/or infrastructure certifications
3. Knowledge of IT Security best practices
4. Knowledge of Information Security and Risk frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS etc.

1. An ability to engage the process and best practice associated with creative problem solving.
2. A methodical approach to incident management which identifies similarities and overlaps to recognise problems and recommend improvements.
3. Strong technical skills are required to understand the infrastructure environment and meet the organisation’s needs.

1. A clear understanding of how to identify business needs and drivers and how to deal effectively with a variety of situations.
2. An awareness of the needs of developing professional relationships
3. An understanding of security metrics and service level agreements (SLA’s)
4. An ability to provide clear and appropriate updates to colleagues in a professional and appropriate fashion.

1. An ability to work to clearly defined priorities.
2. An ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while at times working under pressurised situations.
3. An ability to manage one’s workload to ensure adherence to predefined SLA based on business priorities
