Design Manager
The Design Manager will support the team in enhancing our design activities. This role is responsible for leading, managing, coaching, mentoring, training, and supporting a team of design engineers/CAD technicians to maximize their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementing training and coaching programs to fulfill operational requirements in line with company strategy, policies, procedures, and processes.
* Managing the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, retention, employee engagement, and learning development of the design team.
* Leading and managing design teams, including developing and implementing standard design tools to build efficiencies in project execution.
* Coaching, mentoring, and training employees with all aspects of design and related functions.
* Ensuring technical competence is developed within the team and efficient work practices are maintained.
* Supporting and mentoring team members on building people capability, managing people risk, and ensuring the employee experience enables them to achieve their goals.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years fire sprinkler design experience.
* Experience using Revit and BIM (Building Information Modelling) workflows.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize work and manage challenging workload.
* Flexible, adaptable, and can-do attitude to work.
Desirable Criteria:
* LPCB - Basic, Intermediate, and FHC Exams.
* Project Management Qualification.
