As a key player in the MedTech hub of Ireland, the Galway site is renowned for its pioneering work in minimally invasive therapies, boasting a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and making a real difference.About Your New Job as a Global Sourcing Project Manager:The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the leadership of the Operations portion of new product development projects, VIPs, site transfers, acquisition integrations and other manufacturing project initiatives associated with Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD) products. Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of these projects. Project size will range from small one-off tasks to large programs and line extension activities. Multiple projects of various sizes will be handled simultaneously by the PM, which will include leading cross functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead teams consisting of the company and SFMD Supplier resources. Effectively communicate cross-functionally and provide technical guidance to cross-functional Core Team members and Core Team Leaders as applicable.Assemble the cross functional resources required to drive project completion.Identify, coordinate, and ensure completion all activities required to for an assigned project or task while confirming current policies and best practices.Ability to prioritize projects and activities based on business need, timing, and financial risk.Ensure manufacturability of products transferred into production using various tool kits, work instructions and best practices.Proactivity identifies issues that may affect quality, cost, or service levels and work with internal and/or external teams to resolve or address.Create project tracking plans, schedules, and risks for projects and communicate across the organization as applicable.Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project. Elevate issues and clear barriers to team progress to allow for project success.Serve as a technical resource to drive day-to-day supplier sustaining initiatives, such as Change Notifications, as required.Resolve conflicts with team members and involve functional management as required to ensure timely project completion.Make occasional presentations to upper management and key stakeholdersWhat Skills You Need:Minimum Qualifications:7+ years engineering experience (manufacturing, process development or related)Level 8 Bachelor’s degree required (240 credits), preferably in engineeringStrong organization and execution skills will be required, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle the top responsibility for project completionAbility to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of relevant project management experience in Operations or Development either leading projects or as a team member leading significant segments of projectsExperience in working with external suppliers or as a supplier to large customers.Medical Device manufacturing experience strongly desired including familiarity with equipment qualification and process validation.Familiarity with identifying, driving, and implementing continuous improvement projectsExperience in manufacturing production transfers.Knowledge of regulatory standards and a deep understanding of internal SOPs is a plusPMP certification a plus.What's Next?Click 'Apply Now' or for more information, please contact Emma on eward@sigmar.ie
