Oliver James have partnered with a leading Speciality Insurer who is expanding operations in Ireland to appoint a Head of Compliance, PCF12 into the organisation.
This focus of this role will be to support the regulatory compliance function across the business as it continues to grow in size and complexity while providing regulatory compliance assistance and assurance to the business and managing the relationship with the central bank of Ireland.
The successful candidate can expect to have a varied day-to-day that may look like but not be limited to the following;
1. Overall responsibility for leading the operation of the compliance function and reporting directly to CEO and Board /or relevant subcommittee on compliance matters.
2. Assume Prescribed Responsibility for ensuring the firm fulfils its obligations under the Fitness and Probity Regime
3. Monitor continuous regulatory issues, assessing impacts and determining requisite compliance approaches
4. Ensure adherence to IAF/SEARS requirement.
5. Continue to develop and build relationships with key regulators.
This position would suit a candidate who has previously held the PCF designation and coming from a General Insurance background with cross-boarder experience. The successful candidate will also have;
6. a Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior/leadership position with a minimum of 2 years holding a PCF designation
7. Proven track record of implementing compliance management policies and procedures
8. Familiarity with regulators such as the CBI and FCA.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills.
